I bring to you our beliefs and why we believe them. I urge you follow Acts 17:11 and search the scriptures to see if
what we say is true.

Some 750 years before the Birth of Jesus Christ, His birth and genealogy was given to us by Isaiah. He prophesied that the Messiah would be of the tribe of Judah and would sit on the throne of David in a future time we now know as the Millennium.
Isa 9:7-8.."For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. v8..Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
Then we find this is repeated in the New Testament, Luke 1:26, the Angel Gabriel is sent by GOD to the city of Nazareth to speak to a virgin named Mary.
Gabriel tells her in Luke 1:32.."He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:"
While Mary's husband, Joseph was from the royal line of King David through his son Solomon, God had placed a "Blood Curse" on the all heirs from this line to the throne after Jeconiah (also known as Jehoiachin). Jer 22:30.."Thus saith the LORD, Write ye this man childless, a man that shall not prosper in his days: for no man of his seed shall prosper, sitting upon the throne of David, and ruling any more in Judah."
This judgement prevented any male child from Jeconiah on down from sitting on the throne of David.....This would have also prevented Jesus from ruling from David's throne in the millennium thereby preventing several prophecies from being fulfilled. Yet, with the line from the Second Son of Bathsheba to Mary, the Throne was secured for Jesus......
Here we see the craftiness of GOD as when He placed the Blood curse on Jeconiah, it surely made Lucifer jump for joy....He had won, and surely he (Satan) eventually figured it out that Jesus' line to the thrown would run through his mother, Mary....Make no bones about it, Satan was and is trying to stop any one part of the plan of God from being fulfilled.

The Genealogy of Joseph is found in Matthew 1:1-16 with verse 16.."And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ." This verse conveniently identifies everyone
The Genealogy of Mary is found in Luke 3:23.."And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed ) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli, " This verse tells us that Jesus was the (adopted) son of Joseph "as was supposed". However, it also appears to indicate that Joseph was the son of Heli..How can this be?
The rest of Mary's genealogy is written backwards from Luke 3:23-31 where verse 31 reads.. " Which was the son of Melea, which was the son of Menan, which was the son of Mattatha, which was the son of Nathan, which was the son of David,". Nathan was the Second surviving son of Bathsheba

"as was supposed" meaning..νομίζω nomízō, nom-id'-zo; from G3551; properly, to do by law (usage), i.e. to accustom (passively, be usual); by extension, to deem or regard:—suppose, thing, be wont.
According to the Laws of Moses, only the sons could inherit the land of their father. Zelophehad had no sons, only daughters. In Num 27:6-11, we find GOD giving Moses instructions on how the fathers of any tribe were to divide up their inheritence and to whom and how it could be given.
The Daughters of Zelophehad could inherit their fathers land but only if they married within the same tribe they were born into and their father adopted their husband as a son. This preserved the land given to each tribe to original tribe members only.
C.I. Scofield who first noted that the claims of Christ rely upon this peculiar exception granted to the family of Zelo-phehad in the Torah(3), for Heli had no sons.
Thus Jesus was adopted by Joseph, husband of Mary as his son and Heli adopted his daughter's husband, Joseph as his son. All of this was under the law of Moses and customs of Israel "as was supposed".
Thus, Jesus will sit on the Throne of David as Isaiah had prophesied through both Legal and Blood lines by Joseph and Mary.
